Recruiting Resources

OSA provides resources to all club athletes to help them through the recruiting process. Regardless of what phase in recruitment you are at, OSA can help you find your best fit collegiately.

Many of the following resources can be found in the Playmetrics Club Resources section for your OSA Player Contact. Important: If you do not see any Club Resources listed, ensure that you have chosen your OSA Player Contact account.

Informational Session

The informational session held each season serves as an opportunity to learn about the recruiting process, hear OSA's approach, ask questions, and more importantly get answers.

College Recruiting Playbook

OSA's College Recruiting Playbook is intended to be a foundational document for families to leverage for answering questions, as an ongoing reference throughout the process, and providing underlying background on why certain aspects of the process are the way they are.

Printable Timeline and Checklists

For many athletes, visualization is a major part of their success. The following resources are meant to provide that visual and persistent reference point for athletes. Keep them printed and posted where you'll see them often to keep them top-of-mind in your busy day-to-day life.

Templates and Target School Info

The following items are referenced in the Playbook, Timeline, and Checklists - players should save copies for their own purpose and plan to maintain them through the life of their recruitment process.

Access the Playmetrics Club Resources section to access the following items:

  • Player Profile
  • First Contact Template
  • Follow-up Template
  • Target School List
  • College Communication Tracker

How To Make a Copy

Google Documents and Sheets are available to view, but we encourage athletes to create a copy for their own usage to save and edit. The templates and tracking lists are meant as a starting point for the athlete to run with.

  1. Access the link to the document
  2. Follow Google's instructions to Make a Copy
  3. Save your copy in your own Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, or as a file on your own computer or mobile device
  4. Make changes as you see fit to the copy - it is yours now!

Game Video

U16 and U18 teams (and guest players) have access to the OSA Veo account to view game footage:

  1. Navigate to the Veo site for OSA
  2. Log in and view your videos

Veo accounts are set up using an invitation link for the teams you've played for. If you've played for multiple age groups, you will need multiple invitation links. Reach out to your coach, or contact Zach Elmhorst or Patrick Grubish if you do not have an invitation link.

Individual Planning Session

The recruiting process can be overwhelming, confusing, and challenging. As helpful as the resources listed on this page can be, OSA wants to support families through meaningful conversation as well. Reach out to a recruiting contact if you feel an individual session would be helpful.
