The Owatonna Soccer Association participates in the MYSA league play for the Spring / Summer 2024 season.

Announcement:

As part of the registration and rostering process, we review the following information (in no particular order) for each player with the goal of assigning them to the most appropriate team for fostering their growth and success:


  1. Age / experience
  2. Previous team history
  3. Input from previous coaches
  4. An in-person evaluation day


As such, we wanted to communicate the information for the upcoming evaluation day this February. The basic information is as follows:


  1. Evals will be held at the soccer dome at Shattuck St. Mary's School in Faribault, MN.
  2. A variety of OSA coaches and administrators will be on hand to operate the evals as well as provide feedback.
  3. If players are unable to attend for any reason, that is completely fine. The eval day is just one of the tools we utilize when rostering players.

Eval dates and times for the upcoming season are as follows:


Saturday, February 24th from 6:30-7:30 PM


  • Boys U9 & U10 (birth year 2014-2016)
  • Boys U12 (birth year 2012-2013)


Saturday, February 24th from 7:30-9:00 PM


  • Boys U14 (birth year 2010-2011)
  • Boys U16 & U18 (2006-2009)


Sunday, February 25th from 6:30-7:30 PM


  • Girls U9 & U10 (birth year 2014-2016)
  • Girls U12 (birth year 2012-2013)


Sunday, February 25th from 7:30-9:00 PM


  • Girls U14 (birth year 2010-2011)
  • Girls U16 & U18 (2006-2009)


Teams

For the Spring / Summer seasons, OSA is represented by the following teams:


U9, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18.

Practices

Practices typically begin in late April / early May - depending on weather.


Teams will host 1-2 practices per week, depending on the age level and game schedule.

Games

OSA participates in league play through MYSA. Teams will play 8-12 games during their league schedule.


Teams will also participate in 1-2 tournaments during the season.

MYSA Information

For more than 50 years, MYSA has been helping member clubs provide a safe and meaningful soccer experience for Minnesota youth. We were founded in 1969 as the Minnesota Junior Soccer League and incorporated in 1987 as the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. MYSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of US Youth Soccer and U.S. Soccer.
