2019 Spring/Summer Registration

Spring/Summer 2019

Owatonna Soccer Association (OSA) online registration for U9–U18 boys and girls traveling teams for the MYSA Spring/Summer league is has been closed.  If you would like to register a player, please contact Amanda Simon at jam.simon@yahoo.com for roster availability.

All children born in 2010 (U9) through children born in 2001 (U18) are eligible. (All children born in the year 2001 through 2010)  OSA requires that all registrations be done online except those requesting scholarships.  OSA is offering a payment plan again this year. Scholarship registrations need to be completed at in-person registration or brought to the Walbran and Furness Law Office at 140 East Main Street by Friday, January 9th at 5pm to ensure team placement.

A player is officially registered when all 4 items below are completed:

  1. The parent has completed online Registration Form.
  2. The registration fee has been paid. 
  3. The uniform fee of $85 has been paid for every player. (OSA has new uniforms this year).
  4. The  fundraiser fee has been paid ($100 per player/$200 per family max). Each player will be asked to sell 10 coupon books or a maximum of 20 per family. The coupon books sell for $10 each.
  5. The concession stand fee of $75 has been paid . If a family member works their required shifts at our concession stand during the summer or fall or participates in another approved OSA volunteer activity, they will be reimbursed the $75 fee. Concession stand signups will be available on the OSA website. You are responsible for signing up so please watch the website or contact April Walkingstick at 507-213-6060.

Teams fill up quickly.  All players after registering online should plan to pick up their HyVee Coupon books (Fundraiser books) or make arrangements to have them picked up on either of the two dates: December 17th or January 9th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Individuals registering after January 9th, 2019, will be given a lower priority for placement on teams and may be subject to team availability. If not enough players register to form a team at a particular age level, full refunds will be made unless the player moves up to play on an older team.

There will be a late fee of $50 for individuals registering after January 9th, 2019. 

Game Jerseys, Shorts and Socks

We are currently beginning the first year of our Game Uniforms rotation.  Our goal is to make it 3 full years before starting another rotation dependent on inventory from the supplier.  

The price for jerseys are $25/each or $50 for the pair.

The price for shorts is $15/pair.

The price for socks is $20 for two pairs of socks ($10 each pair).

REFUND POLICY

Once teams are assigned, there are no refunds offered to players without board approval.  Prior to players being assigned to a team, below is OSA's refund policy on registration fees only. 

Spring Summer: 35% of registration costs

Fall: 35% of registration costs

**Please note, there are no refunds on jerseys, warm-ups, clothing or fundraising items unless board approved.

 


TOURNAMENT POLICY

It is OSA's policy that teams can elect to do the following included within their registration fees:

Spring/Summer Policy:

  • U9/U10 Teams: can do up to 1 tournament and has to be a 1 day tournament 
  • U11/U12 Teams: can do up to (2) 1 day tournaments or (1) weekend tournament
  • U13-U18 Teams: can do up to 2 total tournaments including state**.  (For example a team can elect to do up to 2 tournaments and not state, or up to 1 tournament and participate in state.  **If a team wins their division or has a 75% winning percentage or higher OSA will also pay for a team to do state despite already having played in 2 tournaments.)

Fall Policy:

  • U10 teams can play in the Fall Jamboree sponsored by MYSA (Target United Cup) OSA will pay for the expense.
  • U11-U14 teams can enter state and if they qualify pursuant to MYSA Guidelines, OSA will pay for the expense.
